Kyle Fenner - Committed to Excellence
Hello, I am Kyle Fenner, owner and founder of Terra Consulting. I have worked for the last two decades on the Front Range building relationships. Relationships matter because more than anything, your project must navigate the people who interpret the regulations. I work very hard to ally myself with regulators so they become champions of your project. Having been a regulator myself allows me to understand how to satisfy regulations while ensuring your needs are met.
I have worked in the private, non-profit and government sectors entitling and readying land for development. My reputation is impeccable and my integrity is one of my greatest assets; my professional relationships are treasures to me; many are now friends. I have a degree in Economics from U.C. Davis with an emphasis in Real Estate. I continue to educate myself whenever I can. Most recently, I spent nearly five years as the Director of Community & Development Services for a fast-growing (percapita) Colorado county. I managed applications for large residential developments, utility-scale renewable energy projects as well as small family subdivisions and local business site development.
Some of my favorite projects were in Cripple Creek. I was the lead project Manager in the renovation of the historic Teller County Jail and the development of the Jail and Lawmen's Museum. I was also on the lead team for the development of the Cripple Creek Heritage Center. I managed the acquisition, annexation, construction and development of the Cripple Creek Medical Center bringing healthcare and services to an undeserved community.
Community is invaluable to me; rarely am I without at least one volunteer role. I have worked in small towns and large counties; I have outstanding working relationships wherever I have been. I served on the Heritage Tourism Pilot Project for the state of Colorado, conducted an Economic Impact Study for the value of the Equine Industry in two Colorado counties and I have served on myriad boards for business development, economic development and community well-being. I endeavor to help you build the dream for your land that you envision. I have a personal passion for open space and back country wilderness. I am fiercely loyal and wildly creative in my approach to daunting tasks.
In my off-time I love my dogs, riding my horses, wildlife and wilderness photography, riding a Harley or a mountain bike and training for a triathlon or adventure race here and there. I grew up in the West and its rugged beauty and independence shaped me. I love to travel and have trekked the Himalaya to Annapurna Base Camp and raced in the Brazilian jungle. I am the co-founder of the Pikes Peak Triathlon club and am a DECART volunteer for large animal rescue and evacuation.
"Kyle was the Executive Director of a substantial nonprofit membership organization client of mine (Woodland Park Saddle Club) during times of major transition which involved great internal conflict and controversy. She was able to navigate the troubled waters with energy, enthusiasm, dedication, intelligence and perseverance, creating order, systems, procedures, clarity and dignity, moving the organization at the direction of the volunteer board and withstanding the sometimes vicious attacks of dissidents. She eagerly asked for advice, direction, correction and education while exercising abundant initiative, clearly loving her work. I commend her courage and personal commitment to excellence and success."
